How long does a Hollywood Wax take?

On average, between 20 & 60 minutes.

The time it takes depends on how much hair growth there is, how nervous or comfortable the client is, how the therapist works…

For me personally, as a therapist, I work in a way to maximise results and minimise discomfort. I take my time with all clients. The first wax is often the longest, as the therapist and client are getting to know each other, and the hair growth might be at its strongest.

Regular waxing really pays off!

When some of my clients started having their intimate waxing, it would take 45 minutes, (by the way, this wasn’t 45 minutes of pain, it took longer so I could make it as comfortable as possible!).

After having regular waxing (once a month) for a few months, those same treatments took 25 minutes, and that might include underarm waxing too! This wasn’t because I stopped caring or started being rougher, I continued with my exact same process. Due the reduced hair growth and the hairs being removed more easily, the treatment time was dramatically shortened!

I remember when I had a new client who was visiting from Australia, she was shocked when I estimated it would take approximately 45 minutes for a Hollywood Wax. She said usually it takes less than 20 minutes. I thought wow. What am I doing wrong? I explained that it does depend on a few variants. As soon as we started the treatment I realised why… she’d been waxing every 4-6 weeks for a few years, and had barely any hairs to wax! This was a very quick Hollywood wax – even though my technique and consideration of the comfort remained the same.

If you’re still curious; how long does a Hollywood Wax take? I would recommend you speak to your local salon to get a rough idea – some salons show treatment timings on their price lists and websites.
