Don’t be afraid to stretch your skin! Your therapist will likely ask you to help them hold your skin taut by placing a hand on your body, you have no need to feel awkward or embarrassed.
During intimate waxing you might be encouraged to put your hand on your thigh and stretch the skin in the direction of your knee. Or during an underarm wax you might be asked to put your hand on your upper bust and stretch towards your belly button.
Bruising is relatively common during waxing, especially on the thighs. So if you’re having a Hollywood, Brazilian, Bikini or full leg wax, this is something you will want to bear in mind! Talk to your therapist, they will help guide you.
Remember, the tauter you can make your skin, the less likely you are to get bruises in waxing!
